How do you set up a loyalty program in a flower shop?

Florist customers do not come every week; they come before Valentine's Day, Mother's Day or a birthday. So a florist loyalty card needs a short target, a long expiry and a reminder that arrives a few days before the occasion. Below you will find how to set these up for your shop.

How many purchases for a free bouquet?

A customer who comes three or four times a year will never finish a 10-stamp card. Set the target by how often your customers really buy in a year, and give stamps a long expiry, for example 12 months. A card started in February then stays valid until the next Valentine's Day.

Example (all numbers are examples only): if your sales range from ₺400 to ₺3,000, a points card is fairer than stamps. Give 1 point per ₺10 spent; a small bouquet at 300 points and a large arrangement at 600. The intermediate reward means the first prize comes within one or two purchases.

Count the reward at your cost, not the sale price; a bouquet of plentiful seasonal flowers costs you less. The full calculation is in the ROI guide.

Campaign ideas for florists

  • Valentine's Day and Mother's Day: write the campaign in advance and schedule it to arrive a few days before the day ("Mother's Day is Sunday, order now").
  • Quiet weeks: with a stamp card, set double stamps on certain days outside holidays; it brings in people who buy flowers for themselves or their home more often.
  • Birthday bonus: bonus points on the cardholder's own birthday. The system does not know the birthdays of the people they send flowers to.
  • Win-back: a customer who has not come in for months gets a short lock-screen note with their points balance.
  • Refer a friend: the person who receives the bouquet may become a customer; the referrer earns bonus points. Automated campaigns, scheduling and bonuses are in the Growth and Pro plans, see pricing.

The flow at the counter and on delivery

In the shop it is simple: the customer scans the QR at the counter, the card goes into Wallet, and you scan the card's QR to add a stamp or points. Delivery orders are different: the card is on the phone of the person who ordered, but the flowers often go to someone else.

  1. Put the QR table card on the counter and the sticker on the window; the customer adds the card while the bouquet is being made.
  2. Give staff one line: "Do you have our Wallet card? We will remind you before Mother's Day."
  3. On delivery, if the person who ordered opens the door, the courier scans the card's QR. If the flowers go to someone else, give the stamp for that order on the customer's next visit.
  4. Open separate staff accounts for the courier and the counter; the dashboard shows who gave how many stamps.

FAQ

Frequently asked

How do I stamp phone orders?

If the customer is there at delivery, scan the card's QR. Otherwise you can add the stamp by hand in the dashboard; the customer needs to tell you the 6-digit code from their card page.

How many stamps make sense?

If visits are rare, 4–6 stamps is a good start.

Can the person who receives the flowers add a card too?

Yes, but their own card; it is not linked to the buyer's card. If you add a QR sticker to the bouquet, the recipient can open their own card and earn stamps on their next purchase.

Won't the card slow down the queue on busy holidays?

A stamp takes one QR scan, a few seconds. Customers add the card themselves while they wait. How it works is explained in the digital loyalty card guide.

Does my customer need to download an app?

No. The customer scans the QR with the phone camera and the card is added straight to Apple Wallet. On Android it opens as a saveable page in the browser.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

On iPhone the card goes into Apple Wallet. On Android it works as a saveable browser page (stamping by QR is the same). On both, the phone's own camera reads the QR.
